Illinois Energy Efficiency Stakeholder Advisory Group
Celia Johnson Consulting is the facilitator for the Illinois Energy Efficiency Stakeholder Advisory Group (SAG). SAG is an advisory body established by the Illinois Commerce Commission with a broad range of stakeholder participants, including investor-owned Illinois utilities; state agencies; community, consumer, environmental, and ratepayer advocates; and consulting firms implementing energy efficiency programs. SAG provides a forum to educate the broader stakeholder community in Illinois about energy efficiency portfolios administered by Illinois utilities. SAG also addresses policy and technical energy efficiency issues through a variety of topic-specific Subcommittees and Working Groups.
Illinois Commerce Commission Future of Gas Workshops

Celia Johnson Consulting is the facilitator for the Illinois Commerce Commission Future of Gas Workshops. In March 2024, the Illinois Commerce Commission initiated a statewide Future of Gas proceeding beginning with public workshops to develop a detailed action plan for Illinois gas utilities’ future infrastructure investments. The Future of Gas proceeding will evaluate the impacts of Illinois’ current decarbonization and electrification goals on the natural gas system. The main goal of the proceeding is to explore issues tied to decarbonization of the gas distribution system, including how the gas system may need to adapt. Additionally, the proceeding will develop recommendations for any future Commission action and any necessary legislative changes.
Illinois Commerce Commission Performance Metrics and Grid Plan Workshops

Celia Johnson Consulting is the facilitator for the Illinois Commerce Commission Electric Utility Performance and Tracking Metrics Workshops and Multi-Year Integrated Grid Plan Workshops, anticipated to begin in the first quarter of 2025. The Electric Utility Performance and Tracking Metrics Workshops (“Performance Metrics Workshops”) and Multi-Year Integrated Grid Plan Workshops (“Grid Plan Workshops”) are required by Public Act 102-0662 for Ameren Illinois (electric) and ComEd. A series of Workshops will be convened in 2025, prior to the January 20, 2026 Multi-Year Integrated Grid Plan statutory fling deadline for Ameren Illinois and ComEd. Both series of Workshops will be managed through a single distribution list.
Illinois Commerce Commission Beneficial Electrification Workshops

Celia Johnson Consulting facilitated the Illinois Commerce Commission’s Beneficial Electrification Workshop series to solicit input on the design of Illinois utility beneficial electrification programs. This Workshop series was required by the Illinois Climate and Equitable Jobs Act. Workshops address a variety of topics related to beneficial electrification, focused on electric vehicle opportunities. Workshops concluded in February 2022.
